    Questions

Why do saved images come out as WebP?

Websites send WebP because it’s smaller than JPG. Some older apps and forms don’t accept it, so converting to JPG makes the image work everywhere.

    What happens to transparency?

JPG can’t be transparent, so transparent areas become white. Choose PNG instead to keep them.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
