Questions
Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?
iPhones save HEIC because it takes about half the space of JPG at the same quality. Many Windows apps and websites still can’t open it, so JPG is the safe choice for sharing.
Does it keep the photo’s location?
No. Converting drops the hidden metadata, including GPS location, which is usually what you want when sharing.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
