Questions
Does converting to PNG improve quality?
No. PNG keeps the image exactly as it is now, but it can’t bring back detail JPG compression removed. The file is usually larger.
Will the background become transparent?
Not by itself: a JPG has no transparency to keep. To remove a white background, use Make background transparent.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
