Does rotating lose quality?
No. The picture isn’t encoded again: the video gets a new orientation that players follow, which is why it takes a second.
Why does it still look sideways in one app?
A few old players and video editors ignore the orientation setting. Phones, computers, browsers and messaging apps follow it.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
